The German Productivity and Innovation Centre (RKW) is a nationwide non-profit organization. Since 1921, it has been supporting and promoting the productivity and innovative ability of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Germany. It is a networking system that operates on different levels with a nationwide Competence Centre and 15 regional organizations. The RKW Competence Centre engages in research, development and knowledge transfer, working together with the economy, science and politics. One area of activity is innovation management, which enhances the ability of SMEs to compete internationally with innovative products, processes and services. Free solutions, such as guidelines, RKW magazines, online checks and tools, are designed to help SMEs quickly solve current and future problems. Supported by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, the RKW Competence Centre assists in organizing innovation competitions and support programs.
