The Commercial Vehicle Cluster (CVC) is a public-private partnership with partners from industry, science and politics in the southwest of Germany. It provides a platform for communication, collaboration and knowledge transfer for all market actors of the commercial vehicle industry.
The purpose of its activities is to take a leading position in Europe's commercial vehicle industry and to ensure the public perceives the economic vitality of the commercial vehicle industry as inseparably linked to the region and especially Rhineland–Palatinate.
Activities include halving the CO2 emissions of garbage collection vehicles and CO2 neutral, energy-self-sufficient farming, electrification of auxiliary units, finding alternative materials of the future, and internationalization.
Services cover networking opportunities, training seminars, national and international trade fairs, screening of federal and EU funding programs, funding consultancy as well as public relations.
