GCRI at 16th Annual German Academic International Network (GAIN) Meeting
The 2016 Annual GAIN Meeting on career opportunities and recent developments in higher education took place in Washington, D.C.
The conference attracted more than 400 participants, among them 300 postdoctoral students and more than 100 heads of research organizations, high-ranking government officials as well as representatives from the higher education and private R&D sector.
The German Academic International Network (GAIN) is a network of German scholars and scientists in North America. Created to improve the flow of information on current career opportunities at German universities, research institutions, and in the private sector, GAIN is a joint initiative of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AvH), the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the German Research Foundation (DFG), as well as a number of associated member institutions, including the German Rectors' Conference (HRK), Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, Helmholtz Association of German Research Centers, Leibniz Association, Max Planck Society, and German Cancer Aid.
